 The first event on 1st July 2008 of Rotary District 3170 has been MANVANTARA, the workshop for new technology.The event is was held at Secab IET, Bijapur and was attended by about 45 Rotarians from all over the Disctrict including CICO's and Presidents. This workshop was innaugtrated by PDG Rtn. Subarao Kasargod. DGN Rtn. Mahesh Raikar, DCC Rtn. Prakash Saraswat, DG Rtn. Pranesh Jahagirdar, District Trainer Rtn. Kishore Madgum, PDG Rtn. Subarao Kasargod., Rtn. Robert Ebner, Dist. Secy. Rtn. Rajnikant Mehta.
 Rtn. Prakash Saraswat - DCC - Promotion of new Technology was the Moderator. His presentation higlighted the need for use of new technology and the efforts made till now on planning an implementation programme.  The District Website was launched by the DG RTn. Pranesh and the DCC Webmaster Rtn. Mahesh Malani. gave a demonstration for use of the same. Rotary International Website registration proceedure and demo was presented by Rtn. Hrushikesh Keskar. A brief demo of the Rotary Club Adminstration Software was also given. A 2 hour hands-on experience was provided to all participants wint individual computers connected to the internet. Rtn. Ajay Gramopadhye also assisted the TEAM to give basic training of use of the rotary.org as well as rid3170.org. The entusiastic participants registered online, did club administrative changes and RC Dharwad Central President even paid RI SAR online. |
