The Rotary Foundation - Scholarships PDF Print E-mail
All districts (and each low-income country within a district) located in low-income countries are eligible to submit 2009-10 applications to compete for an Academic-Year or Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship to be funded by the Scholarships Fund Pool for Low-Income Countries.  This opportunity is available regardless of a district’s financial contributions to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) or available District Designated Funds (DDF).

Applications must be received by 1 October 2008 to be considered for this world-competitive opportunity.  In November 2008, a committee appointed by the Trustees will review all applications submitted in order to select the approximately 32 most qualified applicants to receive a 2009-10 Ambassadorial Scholarship.
The 2009-10 Ambassadorial Scholarship Application (publication 139) and Leaflet (publication 132) and the Program Guide for Rotarians (publication 012) may be downloaded from the RI Web site at: http://www.rotary.org/en/StudentsAndYouth/EducationalPrograms/AmbassadorialScholarships/Pages/Howtoapply.aspx

Hard copies of the applications and leaflets are available upon request.

We encourage you to publicize this competition among your local Rotary clubs. Please read the selection criteria on page 6 of the Program Guide for Rotarians and keep these in mind as you review applications, conduct interviews, and make the final decision on which application to submit for consideration. When submitting an application for this competition, please mark “Scholarships Fund Pool for Low-Income Countries” as the funding source on page 19 of the application.

We hope to receive an application from your district for the 2009-10 Scholarships Fund Pool for Low-Income Countries competition.
