Sandhya joins me in conveying our warm greetings to you and every one in your family. Please accept my heartiest compliments for motivating your team to attend the District Assembly held at Kolhapur on 17th and 18th May 2008 in large number. Your active participation, involvement, motivation and commitment made a big difference in successful organization of all the events starting from PREPETS to District Assembly-2008. Every event was well attended by the designated delegates. Now the teams 2008-09 both at club level and district level are fully motivated. I request you to take following actions as discussed and decided as per the ROAD MAP prepared during PETS 2008 and District Assembly 2008. During all these training events you have learn to Make Dreams Real. You have the greatest opportunity to realize your dreams as leader of the club while you serve during 2008-09.You have the most unique and rare opportunity as you will be leading your club during the Golden Jubilee Year of R I District 3170. I wish to place before you some of the points as listed below which were discussed with you in length during PETS and District Assembly for taking necessary action. 1.Please convene a meeting of all the Club members under the leadership of Club Trainer and inform them about the importance of club level training especially with regards to educating the members about R I and District priorities and goals. Involve the senior members of your club and the District Officers to impart training. Seek guidance from the Assistant Governor. 2. Please see that your club adapts Club Leadership Plan by taking necessary steps as per the guidance given at PETS 2008.Please share all the information with committee members about CLP. 3. Please appoint special committees like Reduction of Child Mortality, District TRF Fund promotion, Community Empowerment and Microcredit,Tuberculosis Control and Rehabilitation and other committees as per the advise given. 4. Shortly you will receive the District Simplified Grant application for submission. Please plan for a project worth US$500-US$1000.Grants will be given on first come first basis and based on the needs of the community. 5. Please plan joint BOARD Meetings in which many issues as discussed in PETS are to be taken up. 6. Please assess the exact number of members who will continue duirng 2008-09 and take necessary steps. 7. Please accept the Challenge to send their seminannual dues on 1st July along with all other dues. The ones who send will be suitably rewarded. 8. Please plan for your installation as early as possible but not later than 10th July 2008. 9. Please complete the installations of your partners in service before 15th July 2008. 10. Please attend the District Membership Seminar to be held at Bijapur on the evening of 30th June 2008 along with the Membership Committee members,Secretary,President Elect and others. 11. Please complete the planning guide for effective clubs and forawrd the same to me at the earliest not later than 1st July 2008. 12.There will be special recognition for club Presidents, if the clubs have planned to undertake initiatives for TRF fund development like identifying Major Donors,,100% Paul Harris Fellow Club, Committing to utilise more than Rs.1.00 lakh Donation Coupons etc.Please prepare yourself for receiving recognitions. 13. Please send the name and address along with email address of CICO so that they can be contacted directly for all communications so that your burden will be reduced. Please use new technology for communication. This will save your time and money. 14. Efforts are being made by the District to assist clubs in undertaking Matching Grants in the areas of Emphasis. Please plan projects to support the community around you. 15. Please find enclosed Monthly Activities Report for reporting during 2008-09.Please see that the attendance and activities reports reach within the deadline given. 16. Please send separately the activities in brief to be considered for publication in GML along with two action photos. 17. We wish to publish one unique undertaken by the clubs as Project of the Month in the GML.Please undertake an unique project and send the report with photograph in time. 18. Please cooperate with your Assistant Governor while he hand over the Donation Coupons and Piggy Boxes for supporting The Rotary Foundation. Please collect Rs.25/- from each of your member as the cost of Piggy Box and hand over the same to your Assistant Governor. 19. Please motivate your Interactors, Rotaractors and members of Probus and RCC to attend the Leadership Forums organized during the month of July 2008. 20.Please register for WCS project in the name of your club and partners in service. 21.We have set a target of one new club per zone and bring in atleast 50% more members to our club so that we have more friends and hands to serve.Please start bringing in new members from your installation day onwards by following all procedures. 22. Visit www.rid3170.org and www.rotary.org to enrich and update your knowledge. 23. Motivate at least two members of your club to join Rotary Academy to know more about Rotary. You will receive the registration forms shortly. 24. Please start planning from now itself to compete for District Governors Cup 2008-09.The criteria for District Governors Cup are given in the District Directory 2008-09. 25 PLEASE MOTIVATE ALL YOUR CLUB OFFICERS AND MEMBERS TO ATTEND MY INSTALLATION TO BE HELD AT BIJAPUR AT 4.00PM ON 1ST JULY 2008 AT THE HANDS OF RI DIRECTOR ASHOK MAHAJAN. Our Assistant Governors, District Secretaries and all the District Officers 2008-09 are always ready to support and guide you to Make Dreams Real.
