AVOIDABLE BLINDNESS1. Clubs to organize eye-checkup camps at the community level and school level. 2. To organize at least one cataract operation camp. 3. To create awareness in respect of eye donations during every community project. DENTAL/ORAL HEALTH CARE. 1. Each Club to organize at least one Dental/Oral health camp in each primary school. PREVENTTION OF DEAFNESS & REHABILITATION OF DEAF/MUTE. 1. Each club to undertake at least one camp in each primary school. Provide hearing aids to the needy students. Arrange special vocational training to the deaf and mute students. And register a matching grants project for this purpose. REHABILITATION OF THE PHYSICALLY ANDICAPED. 1. Each Club to organize at least one camp in each primary school to benefit the physically handicapped children. AIDS AWARENESS AND REHABILITATION 1 Clubs to under take AIDS Awareness programme for children of 14 to 18 age group. 2 AIDS Awareness programme for truck drivers. 3 Clubs to cooperate with the local NGOs working in the field of AIDS awareness and rehabilitation. FAMILY PLANNING. 1 Minimum 50 family planning operations target for each club. 2 Organize seminars on family welfare for the benefit of newly married couples. WOMAN EMPOWERMENT. Each club to identify NGOs working in the field of Woman Empowerment and to;- 1 Pinpoint the problems faced by the working women and assist the NGOs in their work wherever possible. 2 Provide opportunity for girl child education. 3 Rehabilitation of destitute women. 4 Help in forming self help groups for economically weak women by forming their cooperative societies and help them to run these societies independently. POLLUTION CONTROL AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. 1 To organise one district level seminar/workshop on Environmental protection for Rotarians/members of partnersin service and other NGOs. 2 To organize periodical rallies or seminars at club lelev to create awareness of environmental protection and pollution control. 2 To cooperate with Government Organizations in fulfilling their objectives in respect of pollution control and improving the environment in the clubs jurisdiction. POLIO AND AFP SURVEILLANCE. 1 Reach every child during PPI days. 2 Strengthening the AFP surveillance reporting. 3 Organize Dist. level and revenue dist.level workshops. 4 Prepare a Directory of resistance groups opposing polio immunization. 5 Involve partners in service namely Rotaractors, Interactors, RCC, Probus and Innerwheel members. 6. Every club to participate in district polio challenge grants scheme. ROTARACT. 1 Minimum one new Rotaract club to be orgsnised in this year, especially by those clubs that do not have one. 2 Clubs to organize new generation conference encouraging Rotarians to participate. 3 Rotaractors to plan District projects and to present in the New Generation Conference. 4 To celebrate Rotaract Week. 5 To strengthen Rotaract movement by strengthening the old Rotaract clubs. INTERACT. 1 Each club to have at least one functioning Interact club. 2 Encouraging Interact clubs to attend their sponsoring club meeting. 3 Celebrating Interact Week. RCC 1 Each club to have at least one functioning RCC. 2 RCCs to be encouraged and given proper help for taking up rural development programmes. 3 RCCs to be sponsored in adopted villages. 4 A project for safe drinking water in the adopted village to be encouraged through RCC. 5 A minimum of one new RCC in every zone is to be formed. PROBUS. 1 Each club to have one probus club for senior citizens. 2 Special health checkup camps and welfare programs for the senior citizens to be undertaken through Probus clubs. SHELTERS & OLD AGE HOMES. . 1 Clubs to adopt old age homes for health checkup and other projects. 2 One old age home in every revenue district to be started by two or more clubs coming together. 3 Matching grant projects for low cost shelters to be undertaken by clubs. INNER WHEEL 1. Strengthen Innerwheel movement in the district. Increase membership and start at least 5 new Innerwheel clubs in the district. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. Clubs should undertake at least one activity. 1. Blood donation Camp 2. List blood donor with their blood group for emergency blood donation. 3. Dental And Health Care Camps at school level. 4. Participate in Community service projects organized by the Government and NGOs. 5. Develop programmes to give maximum benefits to the community. 6. Plan to establish blood banks in areas where are there are no blood banks. YOUTH ACTIVITIES. 1. Two RYLA camps to be organized per revenue district. 2. Technology RYLAs to be organized to acquaint youth with emerging technology in various fields. 3. Special emphasis on RYLAs for handicapped and children at risk. 4. Sports and adventure RYLAs should be encouraged. 5. Clubs to participate in Youth Exchange programmes. 6. Clubs to participate in at least one sports activity. Involvement of non Rotarian in these events could be encouraged to improve Rotary image. NEW GENERATION CONFERENCE. 1. Clubs are expected to plan and organize college or community level New Generation Camp. 2. District to host one New Generation Conference. WATER MANAGEMENT. 1. Clubs should coordinate with Government agencies working on improving ground water level. 2. Clubs should under take major educational campaigns to bring awareness amongst the community in both urban and rural areas about the need for proper water conservation and rainwater harvesting. 3. Water purifying machines are to be porvided for safe drinking water in the district. CARDIAC HEALTH CARE. 1. Clubs can organize cardiac health care camps to identify persons suffering from cardiac problems. 2. Poor patients needing cardiac surgery can be provided help to undergo cardiac surgeries from district program. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. Clubs to undertake at least one project in the focus area of; 1. Application of new technology 2. AIDS awareness and rehabilitation. 3. Educating Girl children and woman. 4. Self development through Yoga and Meditation. 5. Environmental protection and pollution control. |
