 DATE: 28TH’ SEPTEMBER 2008, VENUE: SHAHU HALL, SHIVAJI VIDYAPITH, KOLHAPUR. HOST CLUB: ROTARY CLUB OF KOLHAPUR HERITAGE. EVENT CHAIRMAN: Rtn SAMEET KHATAWKAR. EVENT SECRETARY: Rtn PASHANT MEHTA. EVENT TRESURER: Rtn VIKAS JOSHI. OBJECT: TO GUIDE YOUTH TO BECOME A BETTER CITIZEN, LEADER & POTENTIAL ROTARIAN. PAARTICIPANTS: YOUTH FROM ROTRACT CLUBS, INTERACT CLUBS, N.C.C., N.S.S, STUDENTS FROM VARIOUS STREAMS. REGISTRATION FEES: Rs 100. REGISTRATION: 100 participants. PROCEEDINGS: Meeting was call to order by President Rtn Sandeep Pore after melodious ‘Sharada Vandan’ by the team of classical singers. DG Rtn Pranseh, DRR Paresh Rivankar, DIR Ashwini Chikmath, AG Ravi Sanghavi were felicitated by offering floral greetings. Also event chairman Rtn Sameet Khatawkar welcomed the gathering. The event was formally inaugurated by lightening the samai . DG Pranesh gave a brief background of the purpose of the event, He also mentioned how much Rotary values young generations & works related to youth development. DRR Paresh represented Rotracters & gave his thoughts on the occasion. DIR Ashwini’s dynamic speech won applause of the audience. GUEST LECTURER: MAJ. SANJAY SHINDE. Enlightened the audience with powerful Audio Visual presentation on ‘ESSENTIAL PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS’. Where in he formulated 15 attributes required for effective living. He described them aptly with most suitable examples. His session not only was high value session but also inspirational one. Surely audience benefited immensely by high quality speech. GUEST LECTURER: Mrs VIDYA PACHAPURKAR. In an interactive session she made all the participant to introspect themselves & helped them finding out hidden potential, as she was discussing on ‘ DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL’. Her session was not a monolog, she involved all the participants & made them go hunting the hidden treasures amongst themselves. Her set questioners helped knowing about self in very simple but effective manner. GROUP DISSCSSION : Participants were divided in two groups to discuss important issue A) TERRORISM AND ROLE OF RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN. B) EFFECTIVE MANEGMENT OF NATURAL DISASTERS. All participants actively involved in the discussions they not only gave their opinions freely but also they took others opinions in considerations. This certainly gave chance to everybody to have some sort of meaningful public dialogue, expression of own views & interaction with peers from far of places. THANKS GIVING: Guest lecturers were felicitated for their valuable participation in this event by offering them memento & floral greetings by DG Rtn Parnesh Jahgirdar. Sec. Rtn Santosh Patil gave vote of thanks to everybody involved in this event & announced end of the event. LUNCH: Delicious veg lunch was served by organizing committee to all the participants. |
