R I DISTRICT 3170 SCHEMES FOR INVESTMENT IN HUMANITY TO STRENGTHEN OUR FOUNDATION DURING 2008-09 1) PIGGY BOX Every Rotarian Every Day to contribute just Rs. 5 in the Piggy Box and Rs. 10 during Sundays and holidays. With this, we could collect around US$ 200,000 comfortably. More importantly, every Rotarian of our District will have a wonderful feeling of having contributed his share to TRF. Every club should appoint a Rotarian to follow-up with the progress at club level. Piggy boxes are given to every Rotarian DCC Rtn. Kripal Bangera of RC Belur Dharwad is working hard to make dreams real of every Rotarian to support our Foundation. 2) DONATION COUPONS Request Every Rotarian to SELL a minimum 10 donation coupons of Rs. 100 each. In rural areas, we could request them to SELL only 5 tickets and by this way, WITHOUT BURDENING THE ROTARIANS, we will be able to raise about US$ 70000 after deducting the printing expenses and the prize money. DCC Rtn. Prasad Chitnis of RC Margao is motivating every club to support through this scheme and has already has achieved great feat. Conduct Trade Fairs in places wherever it is possible and send a part of the proceeds to TRF. District will help in getting stalls in Trade Fairs and guiding the clubs to organize such fairs. By organizing around 6-8 such Trade Fairs in our District, we could raise US$ 40,000. DCC Rtn. Ashok Naik of RC Belgaum South is motivating clubs to organize Trade Fairs.Already 14clubs have planned Trade Fairs. 4) FRIEND OF ROTARY Encourage our friends outside Rotary to contribute a considerable amount like Rs. 5000 and recognize them as Friend of Rotary and give them a attractive plaque. Request every Assistant Governor to collect a minimum of Rs. 25000. By this way, we could raise US$ 10,000. DCC Rtn. Dayanand Masur of RC Dharwad is encouraging the clubs to participate in this scheme. Apart from these schemes, every President and Secretary will be encouraged to become Paul Harris Fellows. Every Assistant Governor will try to identify a Major Donor. Major Donors of First Level will be motivated to go to the Second Level.All the available recognition points within every club will be used effectively to match the individual contributions from Rotarians within that club itself.
