Dear Dreamers and Achievers,

Warm Greetings from Pranesh and Sandhya.

We had wonderful festival time celebrating the festivals of Dasara and Deepavali with our family and friends. After the festivals we are again back in action with renewed vigor and enthusiasm to Make Dreams Real.

Between the festivals, we had important events like the National TRF Alumni Reunion `GOA – SUVARNA MITRA MILAN` for which our friends from various parts of our nation and neighboring country participated. Listening to the alumni, the GSE team members, Rotary Volunteers, Scholars and Peace Fellows was a rewarding experience .PRID and past TRF Trustee Kalyan Banerjee`s key note address made the event more meaningful. Every alumnus came forward to contribute their mite to strengthen the Rotary movement. It is up to us to make best use of the rich resource available around us.

We also had the GSE Team selection of R I Dist.3170 to visit R I Dist.7260 USA in March/April 2009.

With these two curtain raiser events we are entering into Novemeber,the month that is designated as The Rotary Foundation Month.

As many have said there is no Rotary without The Rotary Foundation (TRF). Because of TRF we are able to do so much good to the people around to bring peace on this earth. 

I had the finest experience of life when I spent my day with the inmates of SnehaSadan,Kanakal village near Bijapur on 2nd Oct. seeing to the joy in their eyes.It has been a dream come true to me. The power of Rotary has made life more meaningful for 84 children who are getting residential educational facilities. The school started with the support of The Rotary Foundation, with just eight children few years ago.Today has 84 children coming from backward families are studying apart from more than 250 children studying as day scholars in this remote village. The true meaning of the objectives of The Rotary Foundation is visible here. Because of OUR FOUNDATION dreams of many young children of getting quality education are realized here. These children are going to be the assets of the society remembering all the time Rotary.

There may be many such experiences with you all too.

Because of your support to The Rotary Foundation many have regained their sight, many are able to walk, many lives are saved by providing much needed safe drinking water, health support and blood, many are continuing education with better facilities to read and write, compete with other affordable children because they got a chance to learn computers. The list is endless. My sincere appeal to all my dream team members is to contribute to The Rotary Foundation and invest in humanity.Make use of various District TRF promotional programmes to contribute.
