September too was a busy month for clubs, there was a focus on NEW GENERATION.

 

Many WCS projects have been registered. Many Donors have been found for projects. Our District is not just a ONE WAY for Matching Grants projects, we are also in the process of doing joint projects in other parts of the world, like medical teams to African countries. We have dedicated Doctors in our District and lots of Volunteers for TRF.

 

Many Clubs are planning matching grants projects for Safe Drinking Water, Neo-natal care, Education of Girl Child, Assistance to Special Schools, Sanitation and other needs of the Community. PDG Rtn. Rajendra Doshi is the DRFC and Rtn. Durgesh Haritay is the DCC for Matching Grants Projects and both of them are constantly helping Clubs in finding Matching Grants Partners around the world.

 

 

 

 

ANKOLA: Fruit yielding plants distributed among the members of the Club. Caps distributed to all school children of adopted primary school. Felicitated two ministers of Karnataka state. Demonstrated rainwater harvesting for students and others.

BELGAUM NORTH: Adopted a school in Hindalga Jail Premises run for Jail staff & inmates. Celebrated Independence Day.

BELGAUM SOUTH: Celebrated Friendship day.& Independence Day. Launched `Solid Waste Management Programme `under Nirmal Nagar Yojane in association with City Corporation. Conducted drawing and essay competition. Participated in State Level Table Tennis Tournament by sponsoring prizes.

BELGAUM: Inducted Six new members. Organized A.D. Shroff Memorial Elocution Competition for Degree students. Organized a Hepatitis-B Vaccination Camp. Organized leadership forum in which 124 youth participated. Adopted Kannada Primary School. Celebrated Independence day. Organized XXXVI Rotaract District 3170 Leadership Forum. Members adopted 10 school going girls to support education.

BELUR DHARWAD: Blood donation camp organized. Participated in Breast Cancer detection programme. Participated in AIDS awareness programme of Red Ribbon Express. Interact club organized.

BHATKAL: Organized awareness program on modern dairy techniques. Organized Breast Cancer detection camp. Organized essay writing contest for school children Rainwater harvesting awareness programs conducted at Govt. Schools. Sponsored Rotary Centenary scholarship to 7 deserving girl students.

BICHOLIM: Celebrated Independence Day. National integration song competition organized. Traditional Fugdi competition organized in the village. Snake awareness program organized.

BIJAPUR MM CITY: Dental and eye check up conducted in nearby villages.

BIJAPUR NORTH: Conducted joint meeting with Probus Club. Teachers felicitated for their service.

HUBLI MT: Donated for club foot correction. Served lunch to inmates of destitute home. Celebrated Independence Day & Raksha Bandhan. Installed Interact club.

KARVEER KOLHAPUR: Tree Plantation programme organized. Taken out Vriksha Dindi with 100 school students. . Arranged Dental Check up camp. Arranged a flag hoisting programme at Savitribai Phule Balwadi and distributed playing items and sweets to Balwadi children. Inaugurated a Public Relation hoarding exhibiting club’s and Rotary activities. Added ten new members.

KARWAR SEASIDE: Celebrated Independence Day. Distributed sweets and fruits to jail inmates. Krishna dress competition held for children. Dental check up camp conducted.

KARWAR: Seminar on key to success conducted for youth. Free dental checkup camp conducted. Educative materials distributed in many schools. Organized RCC. KHED: Elocution competition conducted. Tree plantation carried out. Forty Cashew Saplings planted. Adopted 4 school children. Monsoon sports carried out for 8 days.

KOLHAPUR CENTRAL: Organized one act play competition. Donated school uniforms. Celebrated Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan. Blood Donation camp organized. Project to collect plastic flags after celebrations taken up to create awareness about respecting national flag. Boards displaying appeals to respect put up by conducting a rally.

KOLHAPUR HERITAGE: Celebrated Independence day & distributed sweets & fruits. Celebrtaed Raksha Bandhan with blind children. Hosted four Rotarians from San Francisco.

KOLHAPUR MT: Organized Breast Feeding Awareness rally. Independence Day celebrated. Presented school material to the students. Organized Total health check up camp for senior citizens. Engineer’s Day celebrated.

KOLHAPUR SUNRISE: Celebrated Friendship Day. Celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying Rakhi to Military Jawans. Distributed school uniforms, school bags, identity cards, notebooks, & belts to 305 primary school students .Tree Plantation organized at RCC Uttre. Prizes distributed to winners in essay competition. Industrial visit to supreme concrete works organized under vocational service program. Distributed 2 DVD Players to blind college students. Installed new RCC club.

KOLHAPUR: Organized blood donation camp for 124 students. General Knowledge competition conducted. Provided safe drinking water at RCC K. Walwe. Distributed school material to primary school. Extended financial help to one heart patient. Provided assistance to handicap rehabilitation centre. Conducted leadership training

KRISHNAVALLEY:: Presented Vocational Award to eminent personality from engineering field by giving late shri. T.K.Patil Memorial Award. Hosted workshop on new technology..

KUMTA: Four Way Test banners released. Patriotic songs singing & swimming competitions organized. Honored noted poet Dr.B.A.Sanadi and released books. Vanamahotsav oragnised. MALVAN: Training for students and Counseling & Training of Rotarians and Businessmen in Malvan on ways to improve business organized. Family trip organized to Napane waterfall. Felicitated students of standard 10th & 12th. .Counseling of Parents on effective Parenting organized. Many citizens filled declaration for eye donation.

MAPUSA: Flag Hoisting Ceremony conducted at Govt. Primary School Peddem. Held Patriotic Group Song competition for high school students of Mapusa. Felicitated meritorious students of SSC & HSSC from all the Schools of Mapusa, who topped in their respective schools during the academic year 2007-2008

VASCO-DA-GAMA: Discourse on Inner Management by disciple of Satguru arranged. Arranged Rotary Family Picnic. All Goa Spelling Bee contest for schools of GOA held. Celebrated Independence day. Distributed 36 pairs of shoes to school students. 32 girls adopted with scholarship.
