ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

Rotary is a world wide organisation of more than 1.2 million business, professional and community leaders. Members of Rotary Clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwiII and peace in the world.

33,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical regions make up this organisation, which is recognised world wide for its motto 'Service Above Self' in the workplace and in communities  throughout the world.

THE ROTARY FOUNDATION (TRF)

In 1917, RI President Arch C. Klumph proposed that an endowment be set up “for the purpose of doing good in the world.” In 1928, when the endowment fund had grown to more than US$5,000, it was renamed ‘The Rotary Foundation’, and it became a distinct entity within Rotary International. Today, donors from all over the world give generously to the TRF which is a not-for-profit corporation, supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of TRF, who share its vision of a better world.

The mission of TRF is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health. The support of education and the alleviation of poverty.

Of the several programes funded by TRF, the Health and Educational programes are in the forefront.

Those who participate in these programs as Volunteers and those who benefit from the grants allocated to the educational programs make up TRF ALUMNI.

TRF program Alumni are high quality individuals with a commitment to leadership, service and international understanding... and that is why Rotary Needs You.

TRF ALUMINI ARE BENEFICIARIES OF

  • VOLUNTEER SERVICE GRANTS
  • AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
  • GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
  • UNIVERSITY TEACHERS GRANTS
  • ROTARY PEACE AND CONFLICT STUDIES PROGRAM
  • ROTARY WORLD  PEACE FELLOWSHIP

WHAT TRF ALUMNI CAN EXPECT FROM THIS REUNION

  • TO RENEW CONTACTS
  • TO REVIVE FRIENDSHIPS
  • TO RECALL THE GOOD TIMES SHARED
  • TO REVIEW INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS AND DEVELOPMENT AFTER THE PROGRAM
  • TO RESOLVE TO GIVE BACK IN SOME MEASURE TO COMMUNITIES TO MAKE THEM BETTER PLACES

TRF ALUMNI - you have plenty to look forward to ...

QUESTIONS THAT ROTARIANS WILL ADDRESS AT THE TRF ALUMNI REUNION
