Rtn. Mahesh Raikar popularly known as Mahesh in our District. He is post Graduate in Medical Micrbiology. He is dynamic and multifaceted entrepreneur. He started his career as research man in multinational companies at Baroda, Surat and Mumbai, After serving for few years he has established a diagnostic centre at Hubli in the year 1983 by name “Auro Diagnostic Laboratory and Blood Bank, catering the needs of entire North Karnataka in 25 years he has established many other business establishments and become successful in his career. He is a self made man.

Mahesh joined Rotary movement in the year 1986. He was the president of Rotary Club of Hubli Vidyanagar in the year 1995-96. He has served the club in various capacities before assuming office of the President. He has achieved many laurels during his Presidentship, such as Best President, Highest in TRF per capita contribution, Best in District Polio Plus, Innovative Community Projects, Outstanding Public Retation etc.

He has served Rotary District 3170 in various capacities. He has worked as GGR. District Chairman Coordinalor for various committees. District Secretary, Assistant District Governor and excelled every area of Rotary work in the District. He has participated in many District events as Moderator, Group Discussion Leader and Trainer etc. He has created new mile stone in TRF Annual Giving and Pulse Polio programme as DCC, which is praise worthy.

Rtn. Mahesh has to his credit The Four Avenue of Service Award, District Service Award of The Rotary Foundation. He is recipient of Citation for Meritorious Service Award and Distinguished Service Award, the highest award from the Rotary Foundation. He is a Major Donor.

He is associated with many social organizations. serving with various capecities He is a Executive Chairman Indian Red Cross SOciety, Hubli Barnch, Pulse Polio permanent steering committee member for Hubli Dharwad Muncipal Carporation, AIDS cell advisory committee member for Dharwad Revenue District. He is founder president of north Karnataka Abhivradhi Sangh, Life Member Indian Association of Blood Banks and many more.

He has been recognized Nationally and State Level for his social work. He has been honoured by “Veer Savarkar Award’ instituted by Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha of Mumbai on 16th Sept. 1999 He is the first citizen of Hubli to award as Best Social worker. His name is included in book of who’s who of international professional USA in 2002.

Married to Ann Namrata a medical Biochemist who is past Rotarian and outstanding club secretary of the District. She is a self entrepreneur. They are blessed with three daughters Deepti, Swati and Aradhita. Daughter Deepti is married The family is well balanced in every field of life.
