 K.R. Ravindran is a member of the Rotary club of Colombo since 1974 and CEO of Print care Plc, Sri Lanka’s largest printing and packaging group. Has been elected as the first ever Sri Lankan Director of Rotary International.During his tenure as President of the Rotary Club of Colombo Mr. Ravindran established the Sri Lanka Anti Narcotics Association which continues to take awareness and prevention programs to schools and the general public to control and reduce incidents of drug and substance abuse. As is Country’s National Polio Plus chair, Ravi headed a task force consisting of the government, UNICEF and Rotary and worked closely with UNICEF to successfully negotiatc a ceasefire with the northern militants during National Immunization Days. He has served RI as district governior, International Assembly group discussion leader, and committee member. He currently chairs the Schools Reawakening project sponsored by Rotary clubs and districts in sri Lanka, which entails rebuilding 25 tsunami-devastated schools to benefit 11,000 children. Ravi and his wife, Vanathy, live in Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. |
