The event was conducted on 1st July 2008 at Secab Institute of Engineering & Technology Bijapur and was inaugurated by PDG Rtn. Subbarao Kasarkod.

Rtn. Prakash Saraswat DCC for promotion of New Technology moderated the proceedings of the workshop successfully by highlighting the inevitability of making the district paperless.

The District 3170 website was launched by DG Rtn. Dr. Pranesh Jahagirdar and the DCC Webmaster Rtn. Mahesh Malani gave a demonstration on use of the same. Rotary international Website registration procedure and demo was presented by Rtn. Hrushikesh Keskar. A brief demo of Club Administration software (CAS) was also given by him.

A two hour hands on experience was provided to all the 45 participating Presidents and CICO’s adhering  to the principle of one terminal per participant at the workshop. Rtn. Ajay Gramopadhya extended helping hand in imparting basic training on the use as well.

The enthusiastic participants registered online with RI and learnt the application of CAS in the routine administration of Club. The outcome of the workshop culminated by paying club dues online by the President of Rotary Club of Dharwad Central.
