September too was a busy month for clubs, there was a focus on NEW GENERATION. Many WCS projects have been registered. Many Donors have been found for projects. Our District is not just a ONE WAY for Matching Grants projects, we are also in the process of doing joint projects in other parts of the world, like medical teams to African countries. We have dedicated Doctors in our District and lots of Volunteers for TRF.
Many Clubs are planning matching grants projects for Safe Drinking Water, Neo-natal care, Education of Girl Child, Assistance to Special Schools, Sanitation and other needs of the Community. PDG Rtn. Rajendra Doshi is the DRFC and Rtn. Durgesh Haritay is the DCC for Matching Grants Projects and both of them are constantly helping Clubs in finding Matching Grants Partners around the world. |

From: RKSaboo To: (3170) DG Pranesh Jahagirdhar Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2008 4:32 PM Dear Governor Pranesh, Your first Monthly Letter was in the printed form as everyone else takes out - most colourful on art paper etc. Now I have seen your e-GML version in the September issue. I compliment you for this practical, efficient and very cost effective communication. Please accept my heartiest compliments. As you will notice, many of the governors abroad especially in U.S.A. and Europe bring out their GML in desktop printed version. For this they don't have to rely upon advertisements or sponsorships etc. I think you are the first one who has come up with this kind of e-GML and hope many others will follow your example. Once again my deep appreciation for your step in the right direction. Warm regards. Yours sincerely: Raja |

My dear Rotarian Friends….
We as individuals and as representatives have to participate in many forums and are expected to contribute too. Quite often it has been observed that the contribution made by the persons attending a meeting, group discussion or debate is marginal, wide off the mark and even negative. Given the fact that the people who participate in such events have by and large the same level of understanding , one wonders what could possibly help ensure a more meaningful contribution.

Dear Members of the Family of Rotary of Dist.3170, It has been really a great pleasure accompanying DG Pranesh during his official visits to the clubs. Even though we were away from home, but everywhere members of the family of Rotary made us to feel that we have home everywhere. On no occasion we were made to feel that we missed our family in Bijapur. We enjoyed the local food, the culture and the beauty of each and every place. At times I was overwhelmed with the care, love and affection that were shown to us through out our visits. Even the incessant rains did not come in the way of experiencing Rotary. |
